Five former members of the boy band Beast will make a fresh start under a new name, their agency Around Us said over the weekend.
Around Us said the five members -- Yoon Doo-joon, Yong Jun-hyung, Yang Yoseob, Lee Gi-kwang and Son Dong-woon -- chose “Highlight,” a title of a Beast album, as their new group name.
It was their first full-length album since Jang Hyun-seung left the group in April 2016.
The former members of Beast -- except Jang -- left their former agency Cube Entertainment in November 2016 after their contracts expired. They decided to resume their activities as a group and established their own label, Around Us, in December.

However, as “Beast” belonged to Cube, they could not continue their activities under their former name.
For a while, they were dubbed “Yoon-Yong-Yang-Lee-Son,” which consists of each of their surnames.
They had tried to come to an agreement with Cube to continue using “Beast,” however, their former agency had announced plans to relaunch Beast as a three-member group with Jang and two other new members on Feb. 10.
On the day of the announcement, Jang wrote on Instagram, “What are they talking about? I’ve never heard about it (the plan) before.” However, he soon deleted this post.
