Porsche Indonesia managing director Christopher Choi said that the company had been struggling in the past couple of years, but now it saw signs of economic recovery. “With the new lineup coming, I guess we’re on the [right] track,” he said during a launch event in South Jakarta on Monday, adding that the brand was optimistic regarding the Indonesian market.
"Despite traffic conditions, Indonesian people like beautiful products and Porsche is definitely one of them,” Choi said. He added that the cars' current price was “getting closer to competitors”. He also encouraged potential buyers to conduct test drive as to fully experience Porsche’s quality.
Choi said that the cars' starting price was difficult to reveal as the vehicle is available in a highly-customized design. However, according to the official website, the suggested retail price (MSRP) for the new Panamera 4S is set at US$89,600 in Canada, while the MSRP for 718 Cayman and Cayman S in the US market are $53,900 and $66,300, respectively.
In Indonesia, the new Panamera 4 base model is slated to be released during the third quarter this year. (kes)
