The event features various activities including workshops, competitions, merchandise-selling and concerts. Creators will have the opportunity to meet professional Japanese artist John Hathway and Thai artist Okita Kung.

Meanwhile, those who are just starting out in the cosplay world are invited to join workshops with celebrity cosplayers from China, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia. “Every year we are astounded by the overwhelming response the local community has given us. We feel that a dedicated event for creators would be able to continue encouraging such positive creativity,” said the managing director of event organizer SOZO, Shawn Chin, in a press release. “We hope that local creators can continue to grow and strengthen their craft.”

Creators Super Fest originated from the Creators Hub that promotes local artists and encourages them to create their own works of art. The Creators Hub is also one of the most popular sections at the Japanese pop culture event Anime Festival Asia (AFA), which is also organized by SOZO. (asw)
