eronica Tan, the wife of incumbent Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama has shown her ability to play the cello with prominent Indonesian musician and leader of the Twilite Orchestra, Addie MS. She posted the activity in a video on her official Instagram account @veronicabtp.

Wearing a black blouse and batik skirt, Veronica looked serious when playing the instrument with Twilite Orchestra members under Addie's lead as the conductor.

She wrote in the caption, "Thank you @addiems999 for the opportunity, I had fun playing with friends from Twilite Orchestra with Addie MS as the conductor. I really enjoyed it."

The video went viral on Instagram and other social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

Veronica's one-time “gig” with the Twilite Orchestra was initiated after  Addie MS saw her previous cello-playing performance on Sarah Sechan's show on NET TV, where she played cello on a Transjakarta bus.

The conductor posted a question on his Twitter account for his followers, "Do you agree if I invite Mrs. Veronica to play with Twilite Orchestra?"

As an answer to 768 replies to the tweet, mostly agreeing with Addie, Veronica joined a Twilite Orchestra practice session and played a folk song from Makassar titled "Angin Mamiri". (asw)
