Ed Sheeran adds Jakarta to upcoming Asia tour dates

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will make a stop in  Jakarta on his upcoming Asia tour. This will be his first time performing in the city.

ritish singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will make a stop in Jakarta on his upcoming Asia tour. This will be his first time performing in the city.

Although the date and venue have yet to be announced, the “Thinking Out Loud” and “Shape of You” crooner will reportedly perform in Jakarta following a show in Manila on Nov. 7. He will then perform in Singapore on Nov. 11.

Aside from the aforementioned cities, Sheeran will also perform in Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Mumbai and Dubai. Until now he has only announced the start of ticket sales for Singapore (May 11), Kuala Lumpur (May 15) and Dubai (May 12).

The singer’s manager had hinted about Sheeran’s upcoming performance in Jakarta via Twitter by replying to one of his fans. “Ssh… there will be a Jakarta show,” he wrote.

According to Inquirer.net, the tour is part of Sheeran’s Divide tour. Sheeran previously visited Asia on his Multiply tour in 2015, making stops in the Philippines and Malaysia. (kes)
