hose hankering after 90s boybands Boyzone and Westlife would have enjoyed the performance of Boyzlife in Jakarta on the night of May 21.
Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden, who have joined forces in Boyzlife, successfully brought the audience back to their bands' respective golden eras by performing some renowned songs such as “World of Our Own”, “Picture of You” and “Words”.
According to Antara news agency, during “Words”, Duffy and McFadden performed together with one of the audience members, a child named Kayla, who surprisingly knew the song. “She’s amazing. It’s like Jakarta’s Got Talent,” praised Duffy at the end of the song.
They continued to sing another track “No Matter What”, which was popularized by Boyzone, with Kayla and then McFadden ending it up in beat-box style. After that, they performed other titles, including “Father and Son”, “Mandy”, “Queen of My Heart”, “Swear It Again”, “Uptown Girl”, “Flying without Wings”, “If I Let You Go” and “Seasons in the Sun”.

Although their performance did not run smoothly as a result of technical problems, the audience kept singing until the end.
During a press conference, McFadden revealed that the idea to form Boyzlife came because they played golf almost daily. When it comes to a Westlife reunion, he admitted, “For now there’s no plan to reunite with Westlife, but I don’t know if the other four members plan to get back together.”
Boyzlife will continue their show on May 26 in the United Kingdom. (asw)
