P

op singer Raisa has launched her first fashion line, Yay! By Raisa, in which she is collaborating with designer duo from An’Soe, Andika Pramudya and Satria Soewiryo.

“An’Soe are my designer friends. I’ve worked with them since my first album in 2010,” she told tempo.co on Monday. “Actually An’Soe [usually] design gowns or evening dresses, but this time they’ve helped design ready-to-wear clothes.”

The first collection offers simplicity and applies neutral colors, such as black, white, brown and gray. “All of the items in this collection are reflections of my personality. [I’m] so happy that finally An’Soe and I can present this collection to the women of Indonesia,” said the singer of "Terjebak Nostalgia" (Trapped in Nostalgia).

Raisa admits that this is not her first time designing clothes, but it is her debut in getting involved in all the production phases; from making the patterns to choosing the fabrics.

Yay! By Raisa x An’Soe consists of 11 pieces with starting prices of Rp 165,000 (US$12). It is advisable to grab the collection fast as some of the items have been sold out, according to the fashion line’s official Instagram account. (wir/kes)
