BMW Group Indonesia will soon launch a locally assembled 5 Series sedan.
According to tempo.co, the car will be released prior to the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2017 in August.
The company's vice president in charge of corporate communications, Jodie O’Tania, says the sedan will be available in a completely knocked down (CKD) version as well as a completely build up (CBU) version, similar to the 7 Series.

"The CBU version caters to customers who are seeking to own an individual BMW with a special color and different specifications," added Jodie.
The BMW 530i Luxury reportedly would be assembled at the Gaya Motor factory in Sunter, North Jakarta.
Jodie previously told kompas.com that the 5 Series was among the most sought-after BMW car line in Indonesia. “It has quite a lot of fans and is one of our top [revenue] contributors after the 3 Series and the X1." (mas/kes)
