emember the time when Daniel Craig said he would rather slash his own wrist than play another James Bond movie? It seems like that isn’t the case after all, as Craig will be reprising his role as James Bond for the 25th Bond film.
Despite how outspoken Craig has been about his contempt for playing the role of the infamous super spy, the British actor has reportedly signed on to Bond 25, which is projected to start filming next year.
This puts speculations to rest on who will become the next James Bond, with rumors swirling that the reboot would star talents like Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, James Norton and Aidan Turner — at least, for the time being.
In order to recreate what insiders are calling the franchise’s “winning team,” aside from bringing Craig back, producer Barbara Broccoli is also determined to bring British singer Adele back on the soundtrack, after her performance on the single Skyfall in 2012 earned her Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and Brit awards.

Renowned director Christopher Nolan, known for his work on the Dark Knight trilogy, is another big name that has been in talks with producers about joining the team. However, the Academy Award-winning director does sound reluctant to step into Sam Mendes’ shoes, the director behind the last two Bond movies, Skyfall and Spectre.
"I've spoken to the producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson over the years," Nolan explained in a recent interview with Playboy. "I deeply love the character and I'm always excited to see what they do with it. Maybe one day that would work out. You'd have to be needed, if you know what I mean. It has to need reinvention; it has to need you. And they're getting along very well."
Bond 25 will also involve screenwriter John Logan, who had previously written Skyfall and Spectre.
The film will be Craig’s foray as Bond since his first appearance as the character on Casino Royale in 2006. (tha/kes)
