In a press release, Google listed 17 places across the fictional continent Westeros, including Winterfell, home of the Stark family, King’s Landing, home to the iron throne, and Cersei Lannister’s Walk of Shame.
When viewers click on one of the places, they will be transported into the real-world locations, such as Doune Castle in the Stirling district of central Scotland and Castle Ward in Northern Ireland, which are used to film Winterfell, and Dubrovnik, Croatia, which is the filming locations for King’s Landing and Cersei’s Walk of Shame.
In addition to the real-world locations of the Seven Kingdoms, the Google Street View also features brief explanations about the locations, reminding Game of Thrones' enthusiasts about important events in previous seasons. (kes)
