The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is hosting the second installment of Anti-Corruption Voices Song Festival (SAKSI).

The festival is held as part of anti-corruption campaign and opens for duet or band with maximum of seven members. Those wanting to participate need to send one original song burned in a compact disc (CD) or flash disk before Aug. 31.

Furthermore, on the form, the participants are required to write down their preferred area, namely Bandung in West Java, Surabaya in East Java, Makassar in South Sulawesi, Medan in North Sumatra and Palembang in South Sumatra, for the regional audition.

According to kompas.com, the top ten finalists from each region will be invited to perform live in front of the judges on Sept. 11-20.

The top three songs from each region will be included in “Suara Antikorupsi Vol. 2” (Anti-corruption Voices Vol. 2) album. Meanwhile, the winner will have a chance to make a video clip produced by KPK and local musicians.

The 2017 SAKSI’s awarding night is slated to run on Nov. 3 and will feature a concert performed by local musicians, such as Sandy Canester and Base Jam.

KPK deputy chairman Saut Situmorang said the festival could serve as a medium for the public to express their fight against corruption. Similar to last year, Saut and Sandy Canester will take part in the judging panel. (jes/kes)
