The shoes were made by designers Tinker Hatfield, Eric Avar and Aron Cooper. On the website, Cooper shared how he had met LeBron to discuss about the shoes. At the time, the player mentioned comfort as his most important factor on the court.
“This was a surprise for me and a delight because I never had an athlete put that at the top of their list,” said Cooper, adding that he had promised LeBron that he would make the most comfortable basketball shoes for him.
Cooper also reminisced the time when LeBron tried on the shoes for the first time. “He puts on the shoes and gets up from his chair, walks around, jumps around, stops and looks at me and goes, ‘Coop! These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn – exactly what you said you were going to do’,” Cooper said. (kes)
