Gold jewelry trends include growing interest in colored variants, according to a jewelry chain store owner.
"For the current trend, there are several color variants of gold. Not just yellow," jewelry businessman Alpin Gotama told Antara news agency on Sept. 16.
Alpin, who owns branches across Central Java and Yogyakarta, said the stores provided different options, such as white, rose, as well as combinations of colors to cater to different tastes.

Store manager Wagini agreed, saying many customers were looking for variation.
"People usually know gold as just being of the yellow variety. Now there are many color choices: white gold, rose gold and black gold. And people are on the lookout," he said.
While the variants of the gold-colored jewels actually have similar styles, Wagini said customers could choose from the different colors as they like.
"Moreover, we provide gold jewelry with a variety of color variants of various levels, not only the 75 percent level. Everything is ready, from 50 or 75 percent," he concluded. (liz/kes)
