The photo was uploaded by the film's director Bryan Singer on his Instagram account.

“[I] couldn’t help myself and had to post this iPhone pic,” wrote Singer, who occasionally shares behind-the-scene photos from Bohemian Rhapsody, such as the Live Aid concert set and the moment when Queen's guitarist Brian May took a photo of his younger self (played by Gwilym Lee) during filming.

A first look of Malek as Mercury was previously released in early September.

“We’re going to use Freddie as much as possible and use myself as much as possible,” Malek told ew.com on how the film would capture Mercury’s voice.

Bohemian Rhapsody is slated for release in December 2018. It tells the journey of British legendary rock band Queen, starting from its formation to its participation in the 1985's Live Aid concert.

In addition to Malek, the movie also stars Ben Hardy and Joseph Mazzello. (kes)
