midst the allegations of sexual misconduct by lead star Kevin Spacey, Netflix executives have said that the next season of House of Cards would be its last, but there may still be hope for the series' die-hard fans.
As Netflix announced on Twitter that its popular series House of Cards would come to an end in its sixth season, there have been talks for spin-offs centering on the other main characters from the show, like Frank’s right-hand man Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) and The Washington Herald editor Tom Hammerschmidt (Boris McGiver); so we may not have to say good-bye to our favorite characters just yet.
However, one thing that may never happen is turning the Emmy-winning drama into a movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the streaming service has no interest in projecting its cherished show onto the silver screen. It is, however, open to a two-part episodic special.
The news of the fate of House of Cards and its characters were revealed moments after actor Anthony Rapp accused the show’s lead actor and executive producer Spacey of sexual harassment.
On Netflix's official Twitter account, it stated that executives had already stopped the current production of House of Cards’ last season to discuss the situation with the show’s cast and crew. (ezr/kes)
Execs are on set this week discussing with our cast and crew. More details to come.
