Electronic duo Bottlesmoker is slated to perform at the 39th Trans Musicales Festival in Rennes, France, on Dec. 7.

Bottlesmoker is made up of Anggung “Angkuy” Suherman and Ryan “Nobie” Adzani.

According to Hai, Bottlesmoker would be the first Indonesian band to perform at the annual festival, which is scheduled to run from Dec. 6 to 10.

Trans Musicales is among the longest-standing music festivals in Europe. The event has been recognized as a platform for professional musicians, promoters, media companies, record labels and festival directors.

It has featured some of the world's famous bands, including Nirvana, Daft Punk and LCD Soundsystem.

This year, the event will showcase international bands of various genres, such as British alternative band Bad Sounds and American singer Ernest Weatherly Greene Jr., professionally known as Washed Out.

Although Bottlesmoker would be the first Indonesian band to appear in the festival, the duo is no stranger to international music festivals. The Bandung-based band has also perform at the Laneway Festival in Singapore and Zandari Festa in Seoul. (jes/kes)
