T

he cast and crew of the highly anticipated action film Wiro Sableng has reportedly finished filming scenes in six locations around West Java.

Lifelike Pictures producer Sheila Timothy told The Jakarta Post on Tuesday that the movie is currently moving to the post-production stage.

Involving a total of 300 crew members, Sheila said the fantasy film was very complex to shoot.

She mentioned that finding suitable filming locations was among the challenges, as the team had to carry a lot of equipment.

“We found a few good areas during location scouting," she said. However, she added that they could not use some of the locations as they were not accessible.

Lifelike Pictures is collaborating with Fox International Productions in the project, a division of Los Angeles-based 20th Century Fox. “We send daily reports to them. Although they do not come here, we communicate [frequently],” said Sheila regarding Fox’s involvement in the project.

Directed by Angga Dwimas Sasongko, Wiro Sableng is set to be released at the end of next year. Among the cast members are Vino G. Bastian, Sherina Munaf, Ruth Marini,  as well as award-winning actress Marsha Timothy. (kes)
