ritish singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran dominated Spotify in Indonesia, as the Swedish-based music streaming service recently released its 2017 summary.
Sheeran topped the list as the Most Streamed Artist in Indonesia, with The Chainsmokers at number two, followed by Coldplay, K-pop band BTS and Bruno Mars.
Sheeran also sat in the number one spot as the Most Streamed Male Artist. The remaining top five spots on the list include Bruno Mars at number two, followed by Martin Garrix, Charlie Puth and Indonesian singer Tulus.

Sheeran's megahit Shape of You was the Most Streamed Track this year, with The Chainsmokers' Something Just Like This sitting at number two. Rounding out the top three is the remix of worldwide sensation Despacito, sung by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Timberlake.
Meanwhile, Sheeran's ÷ (Divide) topped the Most Streamed Album list, with Bruno Mars' 24K Magic placing second. Payung Teduh's Dunia Batas sat in third place, followed by Illuminate by Shawn Mendes and FOURTWNTY's Lelaku.
Homegrown singer Raisa took the number one spot as the Most Streamed Female Artist on Spotify's list, which accumulated the most popular artists streamed in the country throughout the year.
She was followed by international pop superstars Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande. Fellow local singer Isyana Sarasvati sat in 10th place on the Most Streamed Female Artist list. (liz/kes)
