Najwa is relatively new to the video-sharing website, having uploaded her first video only three months ago.

Google Indonesia managing director Tony Keusgen said that Najwa was among the fastest-growing YouTube news channels in Indonesia as she managed to earn the Silver Play Button in a short period of time.

Najwa said that, although she created the YouTube channel earlier this year, she only began uploading an editorial program, called Catatan Najwa (Najwa's Notes), in September.

Kompas.com reported that Najwa’s channel features exclusive interviews with talks of the town, such as Fredrich Yunadi, the former lawyer of Setya Novanto, as well as Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno.

Najwa, who rose to fame through Metro TV's weekly talk show Mata Najwa (Najwa's Eyes), said she started her channel as a digital experiment, one that she believes has succeeded as her channel has over 175,000 subscribers.

“[In addition to the talk show] our team is planning to create other content, including an investigation program,” she said. (jes/asw)
