ndonesian folk-pop band Payung Teduh released its long-awaited album Ruang Tunggu (Waiting Room) on Tuesday, the band’s last album with vocalist Mohammad “Is” Istiqamah Djamad, who will end his contract on Dec. 31.
Although he announced his departure from the band in November, Is insisted that Payung Teduh would still go on without him. “Payung Teduh will keep making music,” Is told Antara news agency.
The band’s third album after its self-titled debut in 2010 and Dunia Batas (Limited World) in 2012, Ruang Tunggu is comprised of nine tracks, including the popular “Akad” (Wedding Vow). Those familiar with the band’s sound may note a difference in the musical style and lyrics.

Ruang Tunggu is available on music streaming services. (wir/asw)
