Bandung, West Java, fans of South Korea’s BTS took K-pop mania to a new level by celebrating the birthday of one of the boyband’s members, Kim Taehyung or V, by hiring a videotron.
The fanbase, named Army Bandung, arranged for a birthday greeting for V to appear from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily on a videotron located on Jl. Wastukencana. The message first went up on Dec. 27 and will appear through Jan. 1, 2018.
On its Instagram, the fan club requested other Army members who happen to pass through the area to capture the videotron and upload their photos or videos.
Meanwhile, so-called BTS Armies from other countries took a subtler approach in commemorating V’s 22nd birthday by congratulating him on Twitter using the hashtags #WePurpleUTaehyung and #Veautifulday, tempo.co reported. (kes)
