Musician Glenn Fredly is set to promote the environment through music at the Indonesia Music Conference in March.

Themed Sinkronisasi Musik dalam Menunjang Aspek Lingkungan Hidup (Synchronizing Music to Support the Environment), the event aims to promote forest protection through several activities, introduce eco-friendly concepts, promote the #JagaHutan (Protect the Forest) petition and produce songs about forest protection.

At the event, Glenn plans to collaborate with the Environment and Forestry Ministry in an environmental project.

Environment and Forestry Minister Siti Nurbaya said in a press release that the ministry's involvement in the project was important, as the event would focus on the theme of forest protection.

Siti said musicians' creative approaches could help to promote a spirit of love for Indonesia's forests and the environment.

Glenn and his team have also planned to visit the Creative Economy Agency to collaborate on developing new approaches to promoting forest protection through music. (kes)
