Do not get confused between the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and Italian fashion brand Steve Jobs Inc.
Steve Jobs Inc., which was created by Italian brothers Vincenzo and Giacomo Barbato, has beaten giant technology company Apple in the battle of the logo. At a glance, the brand’s logo may share some resemblance to the company’s famous bitten apple, especially the capital J.
However, according to The Telegraph, the EU’s Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market found it not to be a trademark infringement. This certainly will be a great victory as the battle had gone on for years, starting when the brothers registered the logo in 2012.

Apple has actually listed its trademarks and service marks, among them AirMac® and Apple Music®. But the company does not include its cofounder’s name.
The official Facebook account of Steve Jobs Inc. shows that the brand designs fashion items, namely jeans, bags and T-shirts. But it seems that the brand will expand its wings to other fields, such as electronic devices.
“Clothing and design are the industries in which we work, but electronics have always been the goal of Steve Jobs brand,” said the brothers, as quoted by Quartz. “Imagine devices marked with the name Steve Jobs with Android as an operating system.” (wir/asw)
