Four fashion houses are set to participate in the 2018 Jakarta Wedding and Honeymoon Festival.

The event, which aims to help couples prepare for their wedding day, will be held for three days starting on Feb. 23 at two hotels in South Jakarta, namely The Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan and the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta.

One of the fashion houses, Maisonmet by Mety Choa, will display its Celestial Wilderness collection, which was inspired by natural textures, such as the desert and the flow of mountain rivers. Meanwhile, Rusly Tjohnardi will present the Classicalisto collection, which is based on his experiences in designing wedding gowns for all types of brides.

The festival will also feature Billy Tjong, who will present Divine Beauty, a collection inspired by the different characteristics of women. Meanwhile, Wong Hang Tailor will cater to male customers with his Men in Tie collection.

“We will try to present a different wedding exhibition, especially by focusing on honeymoon preparation and providing culinary options in both of our hotels,” said Nagesh Chawla, the managing director of The Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan and the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta, in a press release. “We have prepared some surprises for visitors, such as the option for couples who make a transaction during the exhibition to choose their own honeymoon destination.” (wir/kes)
