wiss luxury watchmaker Hublot has collaborated with British electronic trio Depeche Mode to release a limited edition collection of 55 Big Bang Unico timepieces, called "The Singles".
Proceeds from the collection's sale will be donated to charity: water, a non-profit organization based in New York that aims to bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.
The number "55" is derived from the number of singles Depeche Mode has released, beginning with “Dreaming of Me” (1981) to “Cover Me” (2017). Each of the watches’ dials feature a partial image of the cover of the single it represents, such as “Where’s the Revolution” and “Precious”. The back of the watches feature a full image of the single's cover and the logo for charity: water.

With a 45-millimeter diameter and a power reserve of 72 hours, the limited-edition water-resistant watches come with a strap available in different colors, cuff straps and studs that provides a rock 'n' roll image.
“We are greatly honored and moved by Hublot’s support for charity: water with this new collection of watches commemorating all of our singles,” Depeche Mode guitarist and vocalist Martin Gore said on Hublot’s website.
“Depeche Mode are iconic in the history of contemporary music. We identify with their passion, stronger now than ever, and with their constantly growing creativity,” said Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe. “[…] This new and unique collection of 55 different pieces plays tribute to their incredible career while aptly celebrating our common ground.” (wir/kes)
