oogle Photos has added to the spirit of Valentine's Day this year by introducing new features that allow users to express themselves more romantically.
As shared by product manager Julia Winn on the tech company's official blog, Google Photos is now enabling users to turn their images into themed movies either on the app or on the web.
"You might have seen Google Photos automatically create these movies for you before—but now, you have the ability to create one whenever you want. And in honor of Cupid, we even have a Valentine’s Day-themed movie for you and your sweetheart," said Winn.

To create one, users can start by opening the app and clicking the "Assistant" tab, then "Movie" -- or simply visit this link and later pick one theme or the person (or pets) who will be featured in it. "We’ll use machine learning to select photos based on your choices, add a soundtrack and produce a custom movie just for you. If you want to tweak the result, you can take a seat in the director's chair and edit your movie with the movie editor in the iOS or Android app," said Winn, adding that these themed movies and new ones would soon be available in most countries.
Those living in United States or Canada are more fortunate as they are able to make a photo-book on the app and order one for their loved ones in time for Valentine's Day on Feb. 14. (kes)
