Photo exhibition held to celebrate 120th anniversary of birth of Enzo Ferrari

The Enzo Ferrari Museum, dedicated to Enzo Anselmo Ferrari, held a photo exhibition to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of the race car driver and founder of Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. The exhibition opened on Feb. 19.

he Enzo Ferrari Museum, dedicated to Enzo Anselmo Ferrari, held a photo exhibition to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the race car driver and founder of Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari. The exhibition opened on Feb. 19.

Located in Ferrari’s birthplace in Modena in Italy, the exhibition allows visitors to marvel at photos depicting different phases in his life, including his childhood and business journey.

Since he was a child, the son of Alfredo and Adalgisa had shown interest in cars and his father also owned a small engineering company. According to the museum’s official website, although Ferrari was born on Feb. 18, 1898, his birth was not registered until two days later due to heavy snowfall.

“It seems incredible to think that Enzo Ferrari was born in the 19th century,” said Sergio Marchionne, chairman and CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, in a press release. “His lesson is more relevant than ever and his modernity unquestionable. […] One wonders what he could have achieved if he had had access to today’s technical resources and knowledge. The mark that he left on the world remains a source of pride for all of us at Ferrari and for the whole of Italy.” (wir/mut)
