nline fashion platform Zalora has announced its collaboration with designer Jason Wu and Sometime by Asian Designers, a bag specialist company from Malaysia.
With products ranging from classic tote bags to mini crossbody tote bags using vegan leather, the collection will be available exclusively in June 2018 on the Zalora website and application in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Taiwan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Macau.
The inspiration for this collection is said to have come from artist Josef Albers and Wu’s modern collection of GREY.

The collaboration marked the expansion of Sometime to new areas. It is also the collaboration debut of Wu with a Southeast Asian retailer and a Malaysian label.
Saskia Dejongh, chief commercial officer of Zalora Group, said that the collaboration celebrates Asia’s creativity and innovations.
Born in Taiwan and raised in Vancouver, Wu is based in New York. He has dressed former United States first lady Michelle Obama, Oscar-winner Julianne Moore and “Scandal” actress Kerry Washington, among many others.
In 2008, he was named a finalist in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. He became the artistic director of Hugo Boss womenswear and accessories collection in June 2013. (wng)
