BTS is to drop a new album, continuing its “Love Yourself” series.
The band’s agency Big Hit Entertainment announced the details of the new release, uploading a post on BTS’ official fan website Tuesday. According to the agency, the new full-length album “Love Yourself Jeon Tear” will be dropped on May 18.

The upcoming album is a sequel to the band’s previous album “Love Yourself Seung Her” and “Love Yourself Ki Wonder.” The albums’ titles are inspired by the four-character Chinese idiom called “Gi-seung-jeon-gyeol,” which is the four elements or stages of a plot.
“Love Yourself” series portrays the start and the end of love. While the previous works focused on the fluttering sensation of a new love, this album will focus on the pain of a break-up.
The seven-piece band, debuted in 2013, has been enjoying global stardom since last year. It was the first K-pop group to win an award at the Billboard Music Awards and to perform at the American Music Awards.
