Music streaming company Spotify is set to expand its services for its free customers by launching Free on Spotify.

To be launched soon for Android and iOS users, the advertisement-supported service enables the users to get 15 on-demand playlists where they can choose and play any song, which had been curated by Spotify team, without having to press next or shuffle until it plays their favorite song.

The Verge reported that the playlists already include a total of 750 songs. Some of the playlists that can be found there are RapCaviar, K-Pop Daebak, Ultimate Indie, Alternative R&B, Discover Weekly, Release Radar and Daily Mix.

Moreover, Free on Spotify also allows users to personalize their experience on the platform. When they sign up, they will be asked to choose their favorite musicians. Based on the result, they will receive curated playlists, just like what can be found on Daily Mix. This new playlist can be accessed from the homepage and is renewed based on their listening habit.

Aside from being able to make their own playlists and rate the songs, users will be able to save their cellular data by turning on the Data Saver feature.

“This is the beginning of Spotify evolution and we will keep doing some improvements that reflect our customers’ needs,” said Babar Zafar, Spotify’s vice president development, in a press release. “This is not just about giving more specific free service experience to our users since the beginning, but also gives them more control over their listening experience.” (wir/wng)
