outheast Asian artists are set to perform at the 16th edition of the Soundrenaline music festival at Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) in Bali on Sept. 8 to 9.
The festival's music curator board member Adib Hidayat said the event aimed to attract not only local music enthusiasts but also those from throughout Southeast Asia. "Since Soundrenaline has become Asia's tourist destination. We want to welcome festival-goers who come from these countries by presenting some of their artists," said Adib on Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com.
Artists from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines are set to perform, "though Indonesian bands will still be the main performers."

Around 80 musicians will enliven the festival, which will also feature visual presentations, such as stage effects, costumes and dances.
Some of the names of performers that have been released so far are Sheila on 7, Naif, Pee Wee Gaskins, Padi Reborn, The S.I.G.I.T., Barasuara, Dipha Barus, Burgerkill, Scared of Bums, Fourtwnty, Navicula, Jason Ranti, Semiotika dan Wake Up, Iris!.
Early bird tickets are currently available online for Rp 200,000 (US$14.41). (kes)
