hile K-pop act Big Bang is on a hiatus with four of its members serving their military service, Seungri is pursuing a solo career on and offstage.

Seungri has become the CEO of a hip-hop label under YG Entertainment, according to Yang Hyun-suk, the head of the agency, who made the announcement Tuesday through his social media account, dropping an image of Seungri’s business card.

As the CEO of YGX Entertainment, Seungri will work on recruiting talented hip-hop rookies and running entertainment businesses. The label will also support his career as a DJ, as it has merged with Seungri’s individual DJ label NHR.

Meanwhile, Seungri will hold solo concerts in August, his first since debuting 12 years ago. The concert series titled “The Great Seungri” will take place at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on Aug. 4 and 5. 

Seungri also has a new album scheduled for release in July. His previous solo album came out in 2013.
