fter keeping their relationship on the down low for a while, Katharine McPhee and David Foster are now engaged. According to E! News, Katharine’s rep confirmed the news to TMZ but she also teased an announcement on Instagram. She posted a screencap of a text message with Just Jared’s Jared Eng. She said, “He did it at the top of this mountain in Anacapri. Totally dark only stars. Thankfully he didn’t push me off the cliff. He said it was one or the other and in the end he spared me.”

They’re currently on vacation celebrating with their friends but what do David’s kids think about the engagement? Well, he posted a photo with Katharine on Instagram and his daughters were quick to comment. Erin Foster commented, “Mommmyyy,” while Sara Foster said, “Out of the country. What did I miss?”

Congratulations, Katharine and David! So, when do we get to see the ring?
