t’s finally here. Two Academy Award nominees in a new film that will satiate our fascination with the royal family—Margot Robbie (she was almost unrecognizable!) and Saoirse Ronan battle it out for the English throne in the new trailer of Mary Queen of Scots.
The story is based on two ruling monarchs Elizabeth I and Mary Stuart. Mary directly threatened the throne as both women rightfully believe that they are the rightful heirs.

As seen on the trailer and based on history books, the rivalry didn’t start until later in their lives. This rivalry brought about a coup and war, but in the end, we know who will emerge victorious. At some point in the clip, you’ll hear Margot Robbie say, “Your gifts will be your downfall!” to Saoirse.
Amazing costumes, makeup, set design, and production are all getting us very excited for this upcoming film. Not to mention well-written female leads that’s a long time coming. The movie will hit theaters this December and quite frankly we’re excited. For now, we can rewatch the trailer multiple times.
