The movie "Joker", starring Joaquin Phoenix, will be released on October 4, 2019.
ust as the annual comic convention Comic-Con was kicking off on Wednesday in San Diego, the United States, Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow confirmed that their Joker film, starring Joaquin Phoenix, will premiere on October 4, 2019.
The movie's director is Todd Phillips, while Scott Silver is co-writer along with Phillips.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phoenix finalized his contract to play the role of Batman’s arch-enemy just last month. The studio said the movie was an "exploration of a man disregarded by society that is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale".

The production is set to begin later this year with a US$55 million budget. Expect to experience a darker and a more experimental tone in the narrative, as DC described Joker as being a sort of a crime drama.
The movie is due to be released together with Paramount’s Gemini Man and Fox’s The Woman in the Window, followed by Disney’s Jungle Cruise. On November 1, Warner Bros. and DC will release the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984. (saz/wng)
