ctress Dian Sastrowardoyo prefers her diamond jewelry to become an extension of herself, as it merges with her day-to-day outfits throughout different activities.
"I'm the kind of person who wears jewelry, something that's really simple, so that I don't need to take it off," Dian said recently.
The actress was speaking during a media luncheon on Friday to celebrate the launch of four collections she curated for jewelry brand Miss Mondial.
Dian has been appointed the ambassador of Mondial, of which Miss Mondial is an extension. In addition to now also being the face of Miss Mondial, the actress has curated four special collections collectively titled "Sahabat Dian" (Friend of Dian), which reflect her own taste.
The launch also coincided with the opening of its newest store in Plaza Indonesia.

The 36-year-old actress expressed her enthusiasm at the collaboration, noting that the brand ensures to create high-quality jewelry while maintaining ethical diamond practices.
Her ties with the brand, Dian shared, began as a customer.
"I've always liked their designs and I would sometimes even ask for the same designs to be customized. Such as recreating a certain structure but in a smaller size, or even getting a ring design made into earrings," Dian said.
The four collections include gold tinted Drop of the Sun pendants; square-shaped designs for Jardin Carré earrings, pendant and ring; floral Tournesol rings; and the simple Solace collection of pendant, ring and earrings.
"To have jewelry that becomes one with ourselves, that is truly simple, maybe with just one stone, this is what can be found in Solace," Dian said.
Miss Mondial, which caters to younger customers and those who are just buying their first set of diamonds, presents a wider range of diamond jewels with a smaller carat count and contemporary designs in comparison to Mondial.
The Sahabat Dian collection, for example, comprises diamonds with a largest cut of 1.1 carats for earrings, 0.82 ct for a necklace and 0.714 ct for a ring.
Also at the event, Gloria Tobing, Miss Mondial's marketing general manager, said diamonds should not just be for special occasions, but rather could be worn at all times.
"For example, I have this ring, and when I take it off, I get that feeling that I've forgotten something or lost something. I even wore this during an outing where I did outdoor activities," Gloria said. Depending on the size, design and quality, Gloria went on to say, jewelry can be widely versatile.
"This also speaks to our strength," she said, noting that jewels should also be well-kept to maintain their shine. (mut)
