Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner's new television show, The Romanoffs, will debut on Oct. 12th.
he Romanoffs, a modern-day anthology series by Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner, is scheduled to debut on Oct. 12 on Amazon Video.
According to The Verge, the announcement came after Amazon Studios revealed a short teaser of the series at the Television Critics Association summer press tour event on Saturday.
Written, directed and executive produced by Weiner, the teaser reveals the dozens of stars who will appear in the series, including Mad Men alumni Christina Hendricks and John Slattery, alongside Aaron Eckhart, Amanda Peet, Diane Lane and Hugh Skinner.

The series is set around the world and features eight separate stories about people in contemporary times who believe they are descendants of the Romanovs, the Russian royal family executed by the Bolsheviks in 1918. Each story takes place in a new location with a new cast, and dubbed foreign language versions are to follow after its premiere.
The Romanoffs has been in the works since a year after the conclusion of Mad Men in 2015. Former Mad Men writers Semi Chellas, Andre and Maria Jacquemetton will also contribute as the series’ writers.
