Adib Hidayat, Jerinx target Rp 500m in fund-raiser for Lombok quake victims

Following the 7-magnitude earthquake that struck West Nusa Tenggara, Superman is Dead (SID) drummer I Gede Ari Astina (Jerinx) and music observer Adib Hidayat have started a fund-raiser to help earthquake victims.

ollowing the 7-magnitude earthquake that struck West Nusa Tenggara, Superman is Dead (SID) drummer I Gede Ari Astina (Jerinx) and music observer Adib Hidayat have started a fund-raiser to help earthquake victims, reports kompas.com.

They have targeted raising Rp 500 million (US$34,527) over the next 11 days on kitabisa.com. By Monday, their effort had raised around Rp 32 million (US$2,210) from 157 donors, Adib tweeted.

Adib has encouraged people to donate as much as they can.

‘I, Adib Hidayat, and JRX [Jerinx] from Superman is Dead, would like to ask our friends to lend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Lombok and Bali who desperately need our help. Let us help them as best we can,” Adib wrote on the fund-raising website, .

Other public figures have expressed their support for the fund-raiser, including singer Anggun C Sasmi, who shared information on the fund-raising effort through her social media accounts.

The Lombok earthquake has caused the deaths of more than 90 people and at least 209 injured. (anm/mut)
