HBO teaser reveals first glimpse of 'Game of Thrones' Season 8

BO released on Sunday a teaser filled with snippets of new and returning series on the cable and satellite TV network.
In the 1:41 teaser, footage from past episodes and a glimpse of the much-anticipated final season of Game of Thrones was accompanied with sneak peeks of other favorite series, such as Big Little Lies, Veep, Flight of the Conchords and Barry.

A brief segment of new footage shows Jon Snow (Kit Harington) embracing Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) at Winterfell. Game of Thrones will return in the first half of 2019 with six episodes in its eighth and final season.

HBO's new series include Camping that will premiere on Oct. 14, created by writers Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner of the successful Girls. The eight-episode series is based on a British comedy of the same name by Julia Davis, and will star Jennifer Garner and David Tennant.
Big Little Lies, which swooped the main awards at this year’s Golden Globes and Emmys, including two for Nicole Kidman as Best Actress, is likely to return in 2019 for its second season. Meryl Streep joins the all-star cast that includes Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Alexander Skarsgård and Shailene Woodley.
Snippets of True Detective also offered a first look at Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali as Arkansas state police detective Wayne Hays in the series’ third season. Other cast members include Ray Fisher, Carmen Ejogo, Mamie Gummer and Stephen Dorff. The series returns in January 2019. (wng)
