merican heavy metal band Megadeth has invited President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo to attend its upcoming concert at the JogjaROCKarta Festival in Yogyakarta on Oct. 27.

“We are hoping Indonesian President Joko Widodo @jokowi and Governor Ganjar Pranowo @ganjarpranowo will accept our invitation to see us perform in Jogjakarta on Oct. 27. We can’t wait to play @jogjaROCKarta and meet you both there,” tweeted the band on Wednesday, which at the time of writing has received more than 780 retweets and 938 likes.

Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo replied to the tweet by quoting Megadeth’s tweet and saying thank you in Javanese, “Matur nuwun sanget mas @Megadeth, Insya Allah saya nonton (Thank you so much, bro @Megadeth, by God’s willing I will see the show).”

Netizens commenting on Megadeth's tweet could not contain their excitement and some posted a photo of Jokowi gesturing the devil’s horns, a popular sign in rock and metal music. Jokowi, who is known to be a big fan of metal, attended Judas Priest’s concert in Singapore in 2012 and Metallica’s concert in Jakarta a year later.

Megadeth performed in Indonesia in 2007 and last year. Frontman Dave Mustaine also tweeted an invitation to Jokowi in April 2017, asking the president, who was abroad at the time, to watch the band’s performance at the Hammersonic Festival.

“I’m hoping Indo PM Joko Widodo @jokowi will be back in time. I’d love to invite him to our show. He’s a metal fan, and I think that’s cool!”

The JogjaROCKarta Festival was first held last year and it featured American band Dream Theater and Indonesian rock acts such as God Bless, Burgerkill and Kelompok Penerbang Roket.

This year’s lineup includes Megadeth along with Indonesian bands Edane, Seringai, Koil and Elpamas.
