Popularly known as the golden dome mosque, Dian Al Mahri Mosque sits on an 8,000-square-meter plot of land and has five domes coated with 24-carat gold, making it one of the most-famous places of worship in Greater Jakarta.
Located in Depok, a satellite city of Jakarta, the mosque was designed by architect Uke Setiawan and financed by businesswoman Dian Juriah Maimun Al Rasyid and her husband Maimun Al Rasyid. The mosque has become the most-popular tourist destination in the municipality, attracting locals and domestic and foreign tourists.
