JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said Friday it had handed over to the state more than Rp 364.3 billion (US$38.6 million) recovered from suspects between January and August 2008.
The funds comprised restitutions, fines, court proceeding fees and other revenues resulting from graft cases that were handled by the Corruption Court during the period, KPK acting secretary general Syamsa Ardisasmita said.
He added that the amount did not include luxurious cars, land, buildings and jewelry, which are being stored in a deposit house at the Law and Human Rights Ministry.
"There are also documents on 170,000 square meters and 147,200 square meters of land in South East Maluku," he said.
Syamsa added that the KPK also held a confiscated house in the Timoho Griya Laras housing complex in Yogyakarta and a house in Legenda Wisata in Gunung Putri, Bogor, West Java. --JP
