JAKARTA: Nine state high schools in North Jakarta and East Jakarta have received 250 computers from donors PT HM Sampoerna, PT Microsoft Indonesia and Sampoerna Foundation.
The five schools in East Jakarta are SMA 9, 91, 93, 102, 105, while the four schools in North Jakarta are SMA 111, 115, 41 and 18.
HM Sampoerna corporate affairs director Yos Adiguna Ginting said the donation — comprising 214 CPUs and 36 laptops — was expected to help boost the quality of education in the schools.
“We also hope the donation will further help teachers as well as students in the field of information communication technology,” Microsoft Indonesia director of enterprise Nina Wirahadikusumah said in a statement sent to The Jakarta Post on Thursday. — JP
