ENPASAR: Denpasar Mayor Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya said on Tuesday that he plans to organize a rare traditional art show in public spaces in the city to preserve local culture, as well as boost the income of residents.
Rai said that wayang orang (human puppet) performances and omed-omedan - the traditional kissing festivity that is celebrated in the Sesetan area of Denpasar after the Balinese Hindu holiday of Nyepi - could be presented in public areas such as the Puputan Badung square.
