ENPASAR: The Bali branch of state power company PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) said the island's electricity supply would drop by 30 percent from April 21 to 28, due to regular maintenance works at a power plant in Gilimanuk.
The plant produces 130 megawatts or 30 percent of the island's daily total consumption of 493 megawatts.
"We have asked government offices and hotels to reduce their electricity usage to avoid any blackouts," I Wayan Redika, Bali PLN spokesman, said Sunday.
