DENPASAR: A Dutch tourist suspected of carrying the H1N1 flu tested negative for the virus at Sanglah General Hospital's isolation ward Tuesday.
Dr. Ken Wirasandhi from the hospital explained the woman had suffered from a sore throat and common influenza.
"The results indicate she had not contracted the H1N1 flu," he said.
The medical examinations were jointly conducted by Sanglah Hospital and Udayana University's molecular and biomedical laboratory. The results from the tests were sent to the Health Ministry's laboratory in Jakarta.
The Dutch visitor arrived in Bali on Sunday suffering from a high fever and vomiting.- JP
