I agree with the government. Without product support, BlackBerry users will face a lot of problems.

Only wealthy people can afford to buy BlackBerry cell phones. They often visit other countries too. So they could buy them abroad if they wanted to.

The government's decision that the manufacturers of BlackBerry cell phones must open service centers throughout Indonesia is necessary. Users of these cell phones should be given sufficient guarantees of proper service facilities.
With such a big market potential, it is also in the manufacturer's best interests to comply with the government's wishes.
Notwithstanding, in the meantime people don't care and they will continue buying BlackBerry cell phones, either by importing them or smuggling them.
