AKARTA: Chairman of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Abdul Hafiz Anshary has undergone a clarification session at the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) over alleged election violations on Wednesday.

Bawaslu member Wahidah told kompas.com that Abdul was facing questioning by Bawaslu chief, Nur Hidayat Sardini and member, Wirdyaningsih.

Presidential candidate Megawati Soekarnoputri and her running mate Prabowo have alleged that the KPU broke the law by accepting foreign help with its tabulation system - a vote count of 20 percent of Indonesia's population using text messages from polling stations on the evening of the election day.
