Generasi Biru was the first movie from rock band Slank - and, they swear, it will be the last.
The band's drummer Bimbim (pictured) has said that the members of the legendary rock band quickly tired of all the waiting around that producing a movie involves.
"We were paid not to act, but to wait," said Bimbim of their experience when shooting Generasi Biru a few months ago.
"We waited for two hours just for the completion of one studio set.
"We're not used to anything like that," he added. "We usually sing for two hours and then go home."
And anyway, Bimbim pointed out, making a movie really demanded all their attention, leaving them short for everything else.
"The movie *production* absorbed all our energy and we just couldn't fit in with that," Bimbim said at the recent preview screening of Get Married 2.
Despite their unpleasant filmmaking experience, Bimbim and the rest of the band didn't say no to Get Married 2, as they "only contributed" their songs for its soundtrack.
For the soundtrack, the band - consisting of Bimbim, Kaka, Abdee, Ivan and Ridho - agreed to sing 12 songs, two of which are fresh from the oven. - JP
