A promise is a promise, Joko!

JAKARTA: Beware of the power of social networking websites!

Trying to test how fast news spreads via Twitter, director Joko Anwar ended up having to keep his promise to go to a convenience store naked. And no, this isn't a movie.

Only an hour after posting "If I get my 3000th follower today, I'll go into a Circle K naked" on Tuesday afternoon, Joko had to walk the talk as the 33-year-old film director indeed racked up more than 3,000 followers, entertainment newsportal detikhot.com reported Wednesday.

"Damn. It's so hard to get people to watch my movies, yet it's so easy to make people want to see me naked. Just wait for pics tonight," Joko wrote again on Twitter an hour after realizing that he had to do as promised.

And so naked he went into a Circle K in Tangerang's Bintaro in the middle of the night. Well, he didn't say what time he was going to do it.

"A promise is a promise, Mr. Politicians!" Joko wrote again after finishing his act and posting a picture as proof.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Joko's twitter page had more than 19,000 followers. - JP
